* Tune In is a free quarterly e-newsletter on musical learning for parents. Each issue provides expert information, "do-it-right-now" musical activities, and information on the books, CDs, and classes that help children become better learners—through music. "Variety of music selections"

"One of my strongest impressions of Kindermusik's work is the variety of musical selections that are there for children. The selections are of high quality and of considerable diversity, such that children can listen and respond to the music of Bach, Mozart, contemporary composers and cultural traditions around the globe."
 —Patricia Campbell, Ph.D.
Professor of music at University of Washington and author of Songs in Their Heads: Music and Its Meaning in Children's Lives, Lessons from the World

Parent Testimonials

We really like Kindermusik because it teaches the children about listening to different and unusual sounds, moving, rhythm, fast/slow/quiet/loud, etc and isn't one big noise that you end up leaving with a headache like a couple of other style music sessions we've encountered. We also like the way it teaches children to share and to wait their turn when experimenting with the diverse instruments.

I'm sure the whole environment and structure has really contributed to Zara's development, understanding and speech.

Thanks for making it such an enjoyable time. Zara can now say 'kindermusik' and always looks forward to coming. She starts to sing 'Our Time' when we're on our way! Our childminders have commented that Zara is always one of the first to join in the songs and actions when they take her to playgroup, even if it's songs she doesn't know.

When asked my daughter Rebecca who is 2 years old, says she enjoys all of music with 'Nessa, but her favourite part is the scarves and the dances. She can often be heard singing the songs and asks her father and myself to do the circle dances with her regularly! Rebecca started at 4 months old and still learns a lot each lesson. She is ahead of lots of her friends with her speech and I believe that her music lesson has played a part in this. She has an excellent sense of rhythm and likes a wide variety of music. The social aspect has helped her enormously and she has made several good friends at classes. We go further for her music classes than any of her other classes and could go to a more local class but we really like her current teacher and the atmosphere in the class. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend kindermusik to other parents and hope to be able to do it all again if we have another child.

I attend Kindermusik classes with Leonie Hain in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales, with my 6 month old son. Leonie is an excellent teacher; sessions are always meticulously organised, well paced and the material fluently delivered. Leonie is enthusiastic and friendly, making sure everyone (Parents and babies) feels encouraged and gets the most out of each session. My son absolutely loves the sessions and I have found the activities and music very useful to use with him at home. I only hope when I return to work I can still fit in a Kindermusik session each week

I really like your program and the way you present it. In particular, the CD and booklet are useful, also it´s great for me as non-native English speaker to have the lyrics stuck to the wall. Kira of course also enjoys the intruments, the singing and dancing. Your course is so good, we recommended it to some friends who are now participaiting as well

I wasn't sure what the Kindermusik class would be like and nearly didn't go but am so glad I did. My son absolutely loves it, the classes are not too long for him to get bored and the teacher (Trudie) is brilliant!! With a new baby in the family too, it's a great class for just me and my 2 1/2 year old son to go so we can have some time together. The home kit is great too as you can carry the classes on at home-and get dad involved too! It's a clever way for the children to all have fun but also learn without them realising! Can't wait for the 3-5 classes to start!

My daughter and I love Kindermusik and the special time we share together in the classes, and the enjoyment listening to the CD's afterwards. Our educator is wonderful and we always come away feeling happy and inspired. It is the best day of the week. In addition, I always feel behind the pleasure is a well thought out learning programme. Thank you. I recommend the classes to all my friends.

"Our daughter, Kayla, loves her Kindermusik Our Time class! I just can't say enough about this class and the whole idea behind Kindermusik. The At Home Materials are wonderful—Kayla especially loves the Fiddle Sticks book, This Little Piggy Played the Fiddle, and all of the animal songs! After doing the "roll over" activity in class and then playing the music at home, Kayla knew exactly what to do! I tell everyone I know about Kindermusik. Keep up the good work!"
Lorena Finnerty, mother of Kayla, age 1½ years

"I almost forgot about my Kindermusik Our Time: Away We Go! CD that was given to us until recently. My children and I are in the car for almost two hours every weekday. One day, my 1½-year-old daughter was going crazy being stuck in her car seat! I found the CDs, began playing the music, and she happily clapped and bobbed her head all the way home. Now, when I pick her up in the afternoon, she points at the radio, bobs her head and sings, 'Aaaahhh.' My kids love it...all of the Kindermusik music and the sounds!"
Emily, mother of a Kindermusik Our Time child

"Keep up the great work! There's no one out there offering the quality materials that Kindermusik does. And we adore our Kindermusik teacher—she's awesome! It's such a treat to have great materials and a great teacher. This is an experience that we'll cherish for the rest of our lives."
Marissa Austin, mother of Caroline, age 2 years
