" Impressive training"....

" I am finding it unbelievably fascinating not only about the development for the children but looking at myself too. I am so pleased I picked Kindermusik. I feel the strength of the company and the enthusiasm jumping out of every aspect of the course... I'm inspired every minute of every day. Thank you." R Ffrench- Lynch, educator in training.

"This is a fantastic course" - S Sharrock, newly licensed educator

"It's great having this level of support. As a newly licensed educator you have so many questions and concerns, I find it absolutely amazing that I can ask a question and often receive an answer within minutes - where else does that happen?!"  S Sibbald, newly licensed educator

Q: I want to become a Kindermusik educator. How do I become trained?
A: Your first step is to participate in Fundamentals of Kindermusik, our step-by-step training course, and to then apply for your Kindermusik license. Using a convenient workbook/video format and supported by a personal mentor and learning group, you will explore the Kindermusik philosophy, learn about the cornerstones of each curriculum, become acquainted with Kindermusik Foundations of Learning® and take an in-depth look at working with children ages newborn through seven years. A Kindermusik license will be presented upon successful completion of this course. Your license is free from the time you complete training until the following March! After that, your Kindermusik license is renewed yearly in March.  Currently, our annual licensing fee is $95 ( ie around £55).

Q: Will Kindermusik help me to assess my strengths and skills?
At Kindermusik, we continually support our educators in their professional growth. When you first call us, the Area Developer will ask you to describe your musical background, experience with young children and general interest in teaching the Kindermusik curricula. Once you sign up for Fundamentals of Kindermusik training, a Kindermusik mentor will discuss further with you your skills and interests and help you refine your goals and expectations. You will also sing a few songs over the phone for a vocal review. And throughout your training, your Kindermusik mentor continues to support and work with you as you prepare to teach.

Q: Will I have support throughout my training?
A: Yes! Although our Fundamentals of Kindermusik materials are designed for you to complete at your convenience in your home, you will be supported every step of the way by your personal Kindermusik mentor and a group of peers who interact via on-line chat sessions and message boards. Not only will you learn the fundamentals and practical principles of being an effective Kindermusik educator, you will also have access to a community of new learners!

In the past, new educators have participated in intensive training at Kindermusik workshops for only a few days and they were left to begin their programmes alone. We've learned that educators get more out of working through the assignments at their own convenience, with ongoing guidance and structure from an experienced mentor and the interaction of their peers. And with Kindermusik, it's just the beginning of a mutually supportive relationship!

The UK website - www.kindermusik.co.uk will also post items of particular interest to the UK community. There will also be the opportunity to talk via an e mail group for Kindermusik educators.

Q: Is Kindermusik a franchise? Isn't that expensive?
A: No, to both questions! To offer Kindermusik classes, you obtain your Kindermusik license by completing our training course, Fundamentals of Kindermusik. When compared to the thousands of pounds required for other business and franchise start-ups, the cost of training through Fundamentals is remarkably low. Yet you are still affiliated with a company with worldwide brand recognition. The programme you build is your own and the tuition you charge is your own revenue. You teach wherever you want -  you don't have your own particular territory.

Q: How old must I be to teach Kindermusik?
A: You must be at least 18 years of age.
